The gap
Every dealer knows social should be running. It stalls for the same three reasons every time.
40+
units turning a week
Somebody on your team is supposed to photograph, caption and post every one of them. On a good week they get to a dozen.
6
places it needs to go
Facebook, Instagram, Google, X — each with its own image size, caption length and posting rules. Manually, that's four jobs per car.
0
posts that come down
The unit sold three weeks ago and the post is still collecting comments. Your BDC is answering calls on a car that's long gone.
How it works
An SFTP drop or a URL — whatever your provider already sends. We handle the mapping, including the columns nobody can explain. No DMS credentials, read-only, and we do the setup for you.
Every import gets diffed against the last one. A new VIN. A price cut. Photos finally uploaded on a unit that had a placeholder. A car crossing 45 days. Those changes are what get posted — not the same 200 cars on a loop.
Branded creative sized per platform, a caption in your dealership's voice, your price disclaimer appended automatically, and a CTA. The caption can only use what's actually in your feed — it can't invent a sunroof.
On your schedule, inside each platform's limits, through a short link that tags the VIN. You see which units got seen, which got clicked, and which platform actually sent people to the VDP.
What actually gets posted
A feed dump on repeat reads like a bot and performs like one. VinPoster only posts when something happened to a car — which is also the only time anyone wants to see it.
Posted the same morning it hits the feed, while it's still the newest thing on your lot.
Old price struck through, new price on the badge. The single highest-engagement post a dealer can make.
We hold the unit back until it has actual photography. You will never post another "photo coming soon" grey box.
Aged inventory gets pushed back into rotation with different creative and a sharper CTA, before it becomes a wholesale problem.
The post comes down on its own. No stale listings, no calls on a car you don't have, no apologizing to a customer who drove in for it.
Where it posts
Automated posting is gated by app review at every network. Here's exactly where we stand.
Photo and carousel posts to your dealership page.
Local posts — the highest-intent placement a dealer has.
Feed posts and carousels. Capped at platform limits, automatically.
Available as an add-on — the API is paid, so we price it honestly.
Company page posts, useful for commercial and fleet.
Auto-built photo slideshows with motion and a music bed.
The Back Lot
Reach on Facebook is rented — the platform decides who sees you, and the price goes up every year. A shopper who joins your Back Lot is yours. They land in your CRM as a lead, in your Klaviyo as a subscriber, and they hear about a price cut before anyone on social does.
The Back Lot
First look at the cars that have been sitting.
We drop prices on aging inventory every week. Back Lot gets the email before the deal goes public.
One email a week at most. Unsubscribe any time.
Exit intent on your VDPs through Google Tag Manager, plus a page we host and link from every social post VinPoster publishes. It asks for an email — not a name, a phone number and a trade-in — because that's what people actually give you.
The list lives in your account. You own the subscribers, the sending reputation and the data, and you can use the list for anything else you want. We record the consent, timestamped, with the page they subscribed from.
Each subscriber posts into your CRM as an ADF lead carrying the vehicle they were looking at when they signed up. Your BDC works it like any other lead, on the same desk, with the same follow-up.
When a unit's price comes down, the Back Lot email sends immediately and the public post is held behind it for a day. It isn't a coupon or a fake discount — it's your real price, seen early. Nothing comes out of your gross.
Attribution
Every post links through a short link you own, tagged with the VIN. So the report isn't likes and reach — it's VDP views, by platform, by unit.

utm_content carries the VIN, so your analytics can tell you which specific units social moved — not just that "social" sent traffic.
One page, emailed monthly: VDP views by platform, top ten units by clicks, and what it cost per view.
Over time you learn which body styles, price bands and photo sets earn engagement in your market — and we feed that back into what gets posted.

We'd rather build this with ten dealers who'll tell us the truth than sell it to a thousand who won't. If your inventory turns and your social is stalled, this is a good trade.

What we need
Questions
No. We take a read-only copy of the inventory feed your provider already produces — an SFTP drop or a URL. We never touch your DMS, your CRM or your deal jackets.
You connect your own accounts through each platform's official authorization flow, and we post through the sanctioned APIs — never a bot driving a browser. Cadence stays human, we respect every platform's daily caps, and creative and captions vary between posts so nothing trips duplicate-content detection.
Yes. Set a price floor, exclude body styles, skip anything headed to wholesale, cap how often a single unit reappears. Most dealers start by excluding everything under a few thousand dollars — auction units don't belong on your page.
That's normal, and it's our job. We build a mapping profile for your specific feed during onboarding and flag rows that fail validation before anything goes out. Bad data doesn't get posted.
Within minutes of the next feed import. Most providers push one to four times a day, so a unit that lands in the morning file is on social that morning.
Yes — and approval mode is on by default. You get a mobile-friendly queue, approve or kill each post with a tap, and switch to fully automatic whenever you trust it.
It drops out of your feed, we detect it, and the live posts come down automatically. That's usually the feature dealers notice first.
Yes, and that's deliberate — the list belongs in your account, not ours. You own the subscribers and can use them for service reminders, sales events, anything. If you don't have Klaviyo yet, we'll help you set it up during onboarding.
No. It's a few kilobytes of plain JavaScript loaded after your page renders, with no libraries behind it, so it doesn't touch your Core Web Vitals. It installs through Google Tag Manager, which is usually the only door your website vendor leaves open.
Per rooftop, per month, with X available as an add-on because that API is genuinely expensive. Pricing lands before the pilot ends — the ten pilot stores get a founding rate locked in.
